Punjab Sports University gets clearance for operation

The Punjab Sports University (PSU) got the clearance for operationalisation by the Punjab Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh. The University in Patiala will start from 1 September, 2019 directed by the Department of Higher Education to conduct the admission regulations. The name of the University ‘The Punjab Sports University’ was approved by the Steering Committee, chaired by the CM. Mr. Kumar Amit, the Patiala Deputy Commissioner, is authorised to initiate the process of construction of the university building.
The curriculum of the PSU has already been finalised, which will focus on skills, development of knowledge and competence at various levels in physical education, sports technology, high performance training of all sports and games and sports sciences. The Punjab CM asked the University to raise state-wide awareness to attract and capture talent into world-class players.
