Google’s ‘Bolo’ app launched in India
 - 11 March, 2019
Google has launched a free app called ‘Bolo’, which will help parents guide their kids in improving Hindi and English reading skills.
For the first time in India, an app has been launched which works offline and has a built-in reading buddy, ‘Diya’. As the kids read aloud, Diya explains, encourages, helps and corrects the child.
The app will not collect any data on children and it is advertisement free. Since the app works offline, there are less chances that it would distract children to do something else online.
All the reading material on the app is completely free and the initial catalogue from Storyweaver.org.in includes 50 stories in Hindi and 40 in English.
