This graveyard turns into a makeshift school every evening

Thirty children from gravediggers’ families at Kapalli cemetery Bangalore have been coached on the burial grounds every day in the evening. A group of volunteers from an NGO called Rupantara conduct classes on a regular basis after school for the children who come from the gravedigger's community.
Started by Samuel Gladison, an assistant professor at St Joseph’s College of Commerce and Gleeda D’Silva, a project manager at Dream India Network in 2016, the duo head out to the graveyard every evening where they educate the students through activity-based learning.
The children are divided into groups based on their mental levels and are taught using various examples in the graveyard such as the words carved on the tombstones for example.
The duo also counsel class 12 dropouts and those children who suffer from dyslexia. Responding to the academic achievements of their students, they said that the students are sharp and grasp concepts quickly, and have also started communicating in English within the first year of their initiative.
