The Karate Kid movie of 2010, finds Jackie Chan playing Mr. Han, a dispirited martial artist who works as a maintenance man for an apartment complex. He comes to the rescue of the new tenant, Dre Parker, saving him from being beaten up by bullies skilled in martial arts.
Mr. Han eventually becomes Dre’s martial arts teacher, and also a trustworthy confidant. The movie chronicles how Mr. Han teaches Dre that martial arts is truly mastered through perseverance, maturity and serenity, and not through extreme displays of power.
The Karate Kid is one such movie that shows that with the right type of guidance, great feats can be achieved.
