Earth Day

Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22nd April world over, to support the protection of the environment and create awareness about the issues the Earth is facing.

There is a unique theme every year on this day, and the theme for 2016 is – ‘Trees for the Earth’.

With the technology boom, we are ignoring our surroundings; we are cutting down trees, polluting the air and destroying nature. This Earth Day, let us pledge to be responsible for our environment and protect it for a better future.

Keeping this year’s theme in mind, children in schools can make Earth Day special too. Saplings can be planted at schools or at home. Students from higher classes can take up awareness rallies and campaigns, where they can talk to people and spread awareness about conserving and protecting our environment.
