Things needed1. A nail
2. Glass Jar
3. Water
4. Vinegar
5. Bleach
Directions

Place the nail in a glass jar and pour water into the jar, such that the nail is completely immersed in water.

Add a tablespoon of vinegar and bleach each, into the water. Keep the glass jar in a safe place and leave it undisturbed for half an hour.

After half an hour, you will notice that the nail has rusted.
How does this work?
Objects made of iron rust, when they are exposed to air and moisture. This is because iron combines with oxygen in the presence of water. Here, a large amount of oxygen was released by the action of bleach and vinegar. The oxygen thus released came in contact with the nail (made of iron) and formed rust.
